Furnace wall exploitation test

Another example of in-service testing was the estimation of the depth of cracks by ultrasonic method on the furnace wall. Our exploitation testing team, upon arrival and initial inspection, suggested penetration testing (after removing the insulation from the other side). It turned out that it wasn't even necessary to take out the defectoscope, as the penetration test showed that the cracks went through the entire thickness of the material.
