Nature of the seeker

Sometimes the nature of a prospector at work in research leads to surprising discoveries. Pictured here is a single-sided joint on the side of the ridge to which there was limited access.

The spot visible in the photo during the ultrasound examination was judged not to meet the acceptance criteria. After taking a photo through the hole, it became clear that someone had already been tinkering at this location for some reason.
